The batteries work as you expect them to. I gave them a 10 minute charge before I headed out to shoot some video. They charged quickly and seem to be working great. I got 2 sets of AA and AAA EBL batteries to use in a JBL speaker. What's not to love about that? I was a little skeptical at first because I never heard of this brand but you can't beat the price so I went ahead and ordered. So far they have been working great. "Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Easy, just slide your rechargeable batteries into each slot and power on. This charger will inspect the battery, if at all possible revive the battery if it has fallen to 0V. It can output up to 1000mA for AAA/AA/C/D batteries and 30mA for 9v battery, which will determine the speed of your charge. You can also discharge at 30mA. The blue button switches between the charge and discharge function. You can charge different types of batteries at the same time, as each charging slot is independent of each other. The LCD panel displays the status of each charging cell. Best of all it auto shuts off and trickle charges. Trickle charge provides a low charging amperage, sometimes referred to as “automatic” or “smart” trickle chargers, to contrast with manual chargers. This charger is able to automatically switch off, and sometimes back on, according to the charge level of the battery. This is a nice feature to have if you want to maintain the charge level of a battery that isn’t going to be in use for quite some time. All good so far, I manage to charge 4 D batteries in about 2 hours. It was moderately warm after the charge. I will report back on the status if anything changes. As for the battery, I have been using rechargeable batteries the last 30 years. Since the introduction of Eneloop, Amazon Basics and 18650, I have converted 70% of our batteries into rechargeable as they don't tend to leak in storage. I am still cycling these new EBL 10000 mAh D batteries and will report back. With a low self discharge rate, I look forward to seeing how these 10000 mAh holds up. It came in a nice plastic storage container. Here are some photos of it. If you found this extra video useful, please take a moment to click YES below. Thanks."
"Note: Amazon seems to have combined EBL D & C NiMH reviews together so I'll make comments about both. I own a lot of NiMH batteries ... mostly AAs & AAAs, but I do have a fair amount of C, D and 9V. The EBL D Cells provide the best performance that I've experienced in NiMH Ds - they blow away the rechargeable Energizers with their ultra-high 10,000 mAh capacity. (4) EBL Ds last a VERY long time in my Sangean AM Dx Radio. I highly recommend them. I have price-watches set & I try to score these via Amazon Lightning Deals - that provides and even greater value. Re: the NiMH C Cells ... from my experience, I would rate the 5000 mAh EBL NiMH C & the 4000 mAh Tenergy LSD/Low Self Discharge NiMH C cells as the best in class (of all NiMH C cells). You cannot go wrong with either - and both EBL AND Tenergy greatly outperform the Energizer rechargeable C cells NiMHs. Also, don't underestimate the importance of having a good quality Battery Charger. I typically use a Tenergy T9688 Battery Charger & I have an identical C. Crane-branded model as the T9688. If you don't have a decent charger, you won't get satisfactory performance from ANY NiMH battery! Choose a charger that (1) Reconditions batteries; and (2) Can identify batteries with bad cells that need to be discarded (recycled)."
"EBL rechargeable C-batteries. I have a number of these plus some in the D-size. All have performed beautifully. If there is a "problem" then it's about the time it takes to recharge, which is most of a day. They tend to give quite good service, especially when compared to non-rechargeable batteries of the same size. These C-cell batteries are 5000 mAh, while my D-size are 10,000 mAh. The charging time, being extended, tends to make the batteries get somewhat warm, so the batteries need to be checked once in a while to make sure they don't get too hot. The C-cells seem to run a little warmer than the D-cells. These are a good value and work well, providing a considerably longer run-time than dry-cells bought at the store. With my first EBL order I also bought the charger EBL sells. It recharges up to four AA/C/D size batteries, and it will also charge the 9-volt rechargeables, as well, if you have those. So, their one charger will suffice for the common batteries they sell."
"Three years ago (2014) I researched rechargeable batteries for items used around the house after tiring of spending my hard-earned money on regular throw-away batteries. After careful consideration and comparison, I decided to buy EBL batteries and their charger. I bought this charger expressly for it's ability to charge many different size household batteries. I also bought it for it's discharge function which can help a rechargeable battery perform to it's fullest. All this at a very reasonable price. I had a problem with the unit after the warranty period expired, one which EBL thought could not occur. I sent them a photo proving the issue and support quickly sent me another unit. I did not have to pay shipping either. The replacement started began not charging some batteries after the warranty period again expired. I contacted customer support who sent me yet again another new unit without question. Now I'm back to charging my EBL batteries again and keeping all my battery powered gadgets working again and am one happy customer. The charger is working great and the EBL support team is absolutely fantastic! Thanks EBL for keeping me empowered and saving lots of $$$!"
"Old charger died and I tried this. My test was to recharge some old batteries in my remote that the TV always complained were in need of replacement, even after a recent charging. They now are showing 80% charge all day after a quick charge (and not leaving for trickle)... that's pretty remarkable for these old batteries. Old charger needed to run all night, this was just an hour or two for the AAs in this charger. It is nice this charger has a 12V option (cord/adapter not included) but I imagine it could be used in a car, perhaps? It diagnosed a really, really old AAA as being faulty. I'm so far very happy! (fyi- This review is only for the charger, I didn't buy any EBL batteries with it. I have old Sony and Amazon batteries.)"
"Two simple functions. Charge a battery or Discharge-then-recharge. No fancy screens with many functions or the ability to Grade/Rate your mAh of your batteries. However, it makes a cheap and easy discharge and recharge device to restore old batteries, or like all new batteries, you should run them through four or more cycles before storing them to reach a better mAh right out of the box. I purchased 2 of them for this purpose as well as D-Cell and 9v Cell functions. UPDATE: I noticed it loses connection 0r the ability to charge a battery when you do a Dishsrage-charge run. The battery, when removed and put in another brand unit, will drain show the battery is working perfectly on the charge-discharge-charge test. This does this on AAA, AA, C, and D-cells. I purchased over 150 Battery cells in Mar-Apr for prepping. I also purchased two of these chargers as well as three of a bigger, better, and more expensive brand chargers which charge-discharge-recharge with capacity measurements and resistances."
EBL is known for making great quality batteries with great capacity. The product works well, claims to charge batteries independently of one another, and even comes with a discharge function to fully drain a battery and refresh. What's not to love about that? The only way to make this better would be to make a model that's a bit smaller for just AAA, AA, C, D batteries. Batteries are charged independently from each other and each has its own meter. They are VERY easy to remove from the charger. I hated this about other charges where I have to bang them to get the batteries out. Being corded let's it sit on my desk on a lower shelf and I can easily grab it to look at the meters. Read more . . .
Don't waste your money on rechargeable Energizer batteries that cost 4 times more than these EBL batteries. Check out the m. Ah on these compared to the overpriced 2500m. Ah Energizer rechargeables. I ordered one of these charger to replace my 10+ years old GE charger. The old GE charger still works but it takes more than 12 hours to charge a set of 4 AA, AAA, C or D size high capacity batteries to full. This quick charge speed is very convenient to use and it charges relatively quickly. It is also necessary to have the charge level for each battery. Read more . . .
With 10000 m. Ah the EBL rechargeable battery is the most powerful you can find on the market. The company responded immediately to my review, offered help and even sent me a replacement. I feel better going forward, but I did not use the EBL charger. I love these rechargeable batteries. I have D’s , C’s and AA’s and i always need batteries why not recharge them and save money. Its so practical. After carefully reviewing of Amazon guidelines, my review, comments guidelines could not be posted to the website. But, I would recommend this product. Didn't expect much from these at the price point but so far they have performed fine. The application is not too demanding, Catmate 3000 pet feeder. I purchased 16 to operate 4 pet feeders. I charge them every 6 months. Read more . . .
I wish Lithium Ion batteries would hold as much charge as the Ni-MH batteries, but I bought them anyway. The actual batteries are much more expensive, but I thought I'd give them a try. So far, so good. I tried some from China but they either didn't charge or lasted a very short time. They were also very easy to remove from the charger. I decided to try these from a UK standpoint and so far they have worked perfectly. The charge and discharge rates are excellent and the unit will hold several types of batteries without any problems. The unit can also charge just one type of battery at a time. Read more . . .
The technology from EBL called Procyco allows for these batteries to be recharged an impressive 1200 times. Works great, EBL has great customer service. Will be buying more in the near future. I love that EBL offers its batteries as a pair, so I don't have to worry about having enough batteries. I have a newborn with swings and bouncers galore that use batteries so I need a lot. After two uses, they have already paid for themselves compared to the alkaline batteries. They charge quickly which is really nice. I am using rechargeable batteries from now on and hope this brand stays at this value. Definitely worth the money! I love that you can charge an odd number of batteries, one at a time, if you want.
