EBL LCD Universal Battery Charger Review

"We've put the caution out before, make sure that you use the charger that comes with the battery, and make sure the charger has a shutoff device, an automatic shutoff device, so it's not overcharged. That's typically the biggest issue which causes batteri"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Charger
Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2020 by Suzanna L. West

"I had a problem (I thought) with the charger when I first tried to use it. i put 8 batteries in it and plugged the USB cable into my wall charger plug. Both displays stated to flash and it didn't appear to be charging. I called their service number and it said their mailbox was not set-up...oh well. Imagine my surprise, when a few minutes later...they called back! I explained my problem and was told someone would get right on it. After talking to service and re-reading the manual, I found out that they are serious about the power outputs requirements from the wall plug...5V 2A...5 Volts 2 Amperes Maximum. Mine was not putting out near that much It put out 5 Volts (the standard) and only 550mA...Milliamps...just over one half of 1 amp. With that size wall plug it could only charge half of the rated number of batteries at a time... 4 instead of 8. But it did that perfectly, no problems at all. Just a few hours after this I received an email from Jackson, an EBL service tech explaining the very same thing I found out...that my wall charger was not big enough. In these days of self distancing, the customer service I received was flat out amazing! They called back almost immediately, and I had my answer in hours not days. This is a great charger, just make sure your wall plug is up to it."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'm liking the bar status meter
Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2020 by jack

"So far so good. It's been able to charge my mix Tenenergy and Eneloop batteries. It's especially useful with the bar meter per slot to see how drain the battery is art the recharge. Other ones are just solid indicator that didn't give current charge level. The springs are firm with good grip and didn't give off the feel it'll pop out. Notes: 1) did not work using USBC PD (power adapter) to USBC (charger). Probably due to higher Output of USBC PD is 5v 3a / 9v 2a. 2) Worked usually the usbA (power adapter) to USBC (charger). Also working from usbA (power adapter) to micro USB (charger). 3) must provide your own power adapter. Make sure it Outputs 5v 2a to allow faster recharge"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fast charging & well designed charger
Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2020 by Vermillion

"I already owned a battery charger when I ordered the EBL Universal Battery Charger, but I was very unhappy with my first one. Sure, it charged my batteries, but slowly. I didn't so much mind the time it took, indeed some reviewers say slow is better, I don't know id that is true, but I have a few extra batteries and this wasn't a problem. The problem was that charger had a bad habit of ejecting the batteries as far as a couple feet away, under the couch or behind a chair I frequently had to search. I used an elastic hair tie to keep the batteries from flying too far away. It also had poinyt pips on the +charging pole and it was tedious to correctly place the battery. The EBL Universal Battery Charger has no such problems. When I received my new charger, I charged 8 new EBL AA 2800 batteries with only one bar only showing up on the screens. Within one hour, one battery was fully charged, and the other 7 finished charging before the second hour! The batteries fit securely in the slots, without popping out. I tried to jiggle, knock and even turned the charger upside down and tapped the back of the charger and the batteries continued to charge. I cannot say if heavier size C & D batteries would stay in place with the same test, but I am confident they would bot eject across the room. I have to add, when I wanted to take them batteries out of the charger, it was easy. I love the USB connectivity - it has both micro USB and type C, but no standard wall plug which is fine by me. How convenient it will be to take this charger with me on a camping trip or vacation instead of taking 20 or more batteries!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good for up to "D" cells
Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2020 by Joseph Trott

"If you want to charge "D" cells, this will take up to four of them; many chargers can't fit these big ones at all. Otherwise it can charge up to eight AA or AAA cells. It charges from USB, which in general I consider a huge plus and a convenience (anything from folding solar panels to common wall-warts will power it), but this DOES limit its total charge current quite a bit. One or two cells charge fairly quickly, but four or more may take a while (note a slow charge is better for the batteries). This is NOT a "universal" charger and cannot sense and charge 3.7V lithium cells, just NiMH and NiCd, but this limitation is clear from the description. The LCD indicators are nice and bright, but must be viewed head-on or they wash out, and you may not want it in your bedroom (unless you need the night-light). No regrets; I bought another one as part of a set with some D and C cells. I've discovered one minor con; there are no "troughs" or other detentes in the surface, so you have to manually align the cells with the conductors. This is also how I discovered you can only charge four "C" cells; the positive conductors at the eight outside positions are not high enough to reach, so you're limited to the four inside positions."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best I have used so far
Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2020 by Amazon Customer

"I was a little surprised when I noticed that was no AC adapter included. Thhe I realized that I have plenty of AC adapters for USB charging. Does a great job whetherchargin 8 AA or AAA batteries or 4 C or D cells. Definiately faster than a standard charger although not the absolute fastest charger that I have used. It is done in a very reasonable amount of time."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great value.

Best Universal Battery Charger

If you want the ability to charge AA, AAA, C and D batteries fast through USB this charger from EBL is best we have ever tried. Buy this charger if you have rechargable batteries, or you want to charge batteries that last longer than a standard battery charger. My answer is no, but if you want to charge "D" cells, you can do that too. I have been using this charger for about 6 weeks and it works great. I like that it can charge different battery and also the LCD display is nice. I would recommend this product! It's just what I needed for so many gadgets at home. It charges fast. What else can I ask for? It's been around for months and it still works. We have different rechargable batteries all work well in charger . Read more . . .

Works pretty well, charges pretty quickly, and I like the USB connectivity - can charge different battery and same charger, worth the money. It's a nice charger. I would like thatwhen using different batteries if the holders would hold each type better. Still it's a great product. I've had this battery charger for a couple of months and it's been great, the charging speed is great. And you can charge 1 battery if needed, very convenient. I like it. It's just what I needed for so many gadgets at home. It charges fast. Read more . . .

Fast Universal Battery Charger

Thanks to the USB Type C input this battery charger can charge your batteries faster at 2 Ampere. If you want to charge "D" cells, this is the charger for you; it has usual indicator lights telling you if the batteries are charged or not as well as how much charge it has, displaying the charging progress independently. Adjustable windage and angle, so you can charge different battery by sliding the charger. Long term durability is an unknown but it's well built with lots of screws holding the casing together. I was impressed with the charging speed, I didn't realize it required a phone-style charger to power it until it arrived. Luckily I had a 5V 2A charger to power it which is listed as the max input power. Read more . . .

Have lots of rechargeable batteries in order to reduce the cost of buying batteries. Buying multiple batteries allows me to charge them all, and also to reduce the risk of any battery exploding on me. I gave this a 5 star rating because it is very versatile as it can charge all of the different sizes of batteries. It is compatible with AA/AAA/C/D rechargeable batteries at the same time. It charges surprisingly fast compared to other brands. My absolute favorite thing about the charger is that it charges each battery individually. Other chargers do sets, so the charger turns off after one in the set is full even if the other is not. Read more . . .

Fully Featured Universal Battery Charger

The EBL LCD Universal Battery Charger comes with all the features you can wish for. Buy this if you want to charge "D" cells. I don't think you'll be disappointd. Has LCD that displays the current battery's status and how much power it has left, charges well, charging time is pretty quick compare to other models but not a super quick charger. Also, doesn't come with AC adaptor, good thing I have a spare one that has enough output amperage for it. I read some reviews where some people had a hard time keeping the batteries in place and some didn't receive the USB cord. But it works perfect for me and I did receive the cord. Great product to have! This fryer is easy to use to fry eggs no sticking. Read more . . .
