If you are looking for a 100W foldable solar panel we think that the Rockpals SP003 is the best. I'm looking forward to testing the product more thoroughly up hunting and camping in the travel trailer but so far I am happy I chose Rockpals. I'm using this with an Adaptive Fast charge in one direction, up. So far so good, I'll be testing the product more thoroughly up hunting and camping in the travel trailer but so far I am impressed. Use Jackery for lantern, tent light, air pump and iphones but plan on making an electric cooler purchase also since this makes my life so simple. These panels allow me to draw one hundred watts of power. So it will take about three hours to charge a Rockpals three hundred watt power station from completely dead.
I liked this a lot better than the solar panels and it seems to be the only one of the bunch. I also have the right input to use with my newly purchased Jackery 240. I'll be testing the product on camping trips and/or the apocalypse to see if there is any difference. I'm using this with a Jackery battery, and it works great. I especially like all the different attachments for output you can get with a Jackery battery. I like the built in USBC port, and the USB ports are a big bonus, as well.
The Rockpals SP003 is really versatile, we have not seen any other brand that offers compatibility with so many solar genrators and mobile devices. I'm a little worried about the plastic coating on the solar cells scratching or getting UV damaged over time... but... that’s probably just because I love this thing so much and use it constantly, that I shudder to think about it eventually giving in to normal wear and tear. I also love this thing because it makes it super easy to setup and use. I like that even if I screw it up once, I have all the instructions and can get back to basics as fast as possible. I also love this thing for charging jackey explorer 1200 100 and yeti 400 lithium.
The 100 Watt foldable solar panel even have a buil-in IC chip that can detect which kind of device you just plugged in and then charge it with the correct voltage and ampere. I'm impressed. I tested it at about 3:15 pm edt and just laid it out flat in full sunlight. I was getting a steady 70w. I'm pulling in over 70w with some strong sun in Maine. I'm pleased! Here's the timing from when I line up my 400 watts to get that 71w:09:41 pm - Powering my 600W panel into existence.
The Rockpals SP003 has a very durable design with water resistant Oxford cloth. I bought this to power my Rockpals 300 watt solar generator. It's worked great so far. The only thing I hope to see with this is some sort of stand to easier orient the panels into the sun. I took this to Africa last month and it really served me well. Don’t go to a place with intermittent light offs without it. It holds well. I bought it with Suaoki Portable Starion, based on the Amazon review for compatibility and I am glad I did just that. Thus far, it appears to be a great working solar panel. I haven't had many opportunities to test it in the field yet. As I do, I'll be happy to update this review with how it performs.
The durability paired with the portability of the foldable design makes this the perfect solar panel for your outdoor adventures. I'm using this with an older Goal Zero Yeti 400 (lead acid). I'm gauging results by reading the USB outputs on the unit's charging port; 92W to 93W. I'm also gauging results by reading the XPS button pad; 5V/2.4A (on a good day) on a good day. These results speak well of the solar panel. I'm looking forward to testing these more thoroughly in the coming months. I've gotten 65 watts+ on it. Probably could squeeze out more. I had to build a rack for it to adjust for sun angle. Needs feet supports.
